I'm sorry you guys didn't find out about the SMP thing.  The whole thing is a
mess, and you have a right to be angry about it.

I think you are wrong to call for destruction of the event and by extension
destruction of the ICCA, just because they botched the event.

This will be my sixth ICCA event and Rebel has boycotted two of them.  That's
too many.

You guys can choose to either do the best you can under these bad circumstances
or you can try to take a big chunk out of organized computer chess.  I hope that
you'll put aside your own anger and show up at the event, if this is all that's
keeping you away.

If you won't show up, I hope that you won't try to encourage others to cancel
their own plans.
