I wasn't talking about the programmers. I was thinking of the sponsors, fans,
etc.

Israel, France and the US could probably give them a pretty good run for the
money.
Pepito is actually pretty strong. It could eventually become a bone-crusher, I
think (if the programmer decided to put the effort into it).
One reason I realy like this format is the same reason that I can't stand the
"National Champion" bowl format. Lots of people go home a winner. You can be
country champion. You can be continental champion. You can be world champion.
You could potentially have well over 200 country champions. Sounds far-fetched,
but there are already over 100 Winboard programs and the list grows daily.
I do have to admit that Germany and Holland are the chess programming hub of the
universe.
I think having national and continental [along with world] championships could
potentially attract sponsors. Wouldn't it be nice to fly for free and stay in a
posh hotel without having to pay for it?
