I also wrote to David Levy and received the same reply as Ed. I am not (yet) a
member of ICCA, and I am sure that nobody has ever heard of me, but the fact
that even my enquiry was taken seriously enough to warrant three emails from
David during the course of the day, culminating in his changes as posted by Ed,
indicate to me a willingness on the part of ICCA to take the community of chess
programmers seriously.

I also believe that this is about the best that ICCA could do, under the circs.
Hopefully things will be a bit clearer next time round :)

Official status from my point of view:
Blikskottel is not entering because it plays too badly, rather than because the
author is cross with the ICCA :)
