It's nice to have a fan club.

A moderator is one who is in the middle, a mediator, a judge. The job is to
keep things running smoothly while remaining fairly impartial. Being able to
see things from the perspective of others is a plus.

What happened with Ed and company is that they threatened to do everything they
could to wreck the event if they didn't immediately get their way. It's
possible that wrecking the event would have not only wrecked this event, but
future events. The ICCA gets a large part of its budget from this event. If
they can't do this event, they'd have to find an alternate source of funding,
and I doubt they'd be able to do that well enough to keep the journal afloat.
The journal is important.

I can't say that I approve of threats to attempt to destroy the event and
perhaps the whole ICCA as a first tactic when trying to resolve a stupid
situation.

Regarding your charges of cowardice on my part, I don't find that you have many
redeeming qualities yourself, so I don't consider that yours is a criticism that
I need to consider.
