Your age is not any disadvantage to learn anything you want to learn. I would
not say that learning German is particularly difficult (it think Spanish should
be a lot harder to learn as a foreign language).
Wheter it is worth or not for you, that depends on your other activities and
responsibilities. Since you know your own situation better than anybody else, I
do not think anybody here is really able to give a meaningful advice.
