Maybe it would be more easy to find some English-speaking German friends who
would be willing to translate interesting passages to you if you can't
understand them with the help of programs like babelfish.

Then you would have an opportunity for discussion as well.

On the other hand, many German chess-fans tend to be passionately committed to
certain chess-programs, a fact which often diminishes the objectivity of their
comments. Some of them even abuse their opponents in a very ugly manner and
announce, they are going to harm any person, who happens to like another
program, if ever an opportunity should be given to them.
