Would make sense. Ed didn't complain about amateur title and amateurs who do not pay $1000 entry fee for 2 programs (tiger + rebel) have less to say, as historically has been proven. Anyway it's good that David made this deal. Keeping the participants inside the tournament, especially if it's Rebel + Tiger, that's always better as getting them outside. Nevertheless i doubt the argumentation from Ed that he was making his DOS program parallel. Now what we miss in this tournament is publicity. Only 15 participants or something like that. I of course added junior to that already, as those are always late to sign in and there wasn't a clear statement yet they are not going to join AFAIK. No dude in Netherlands knows there is a world champs computerchess in august in Maastricht. It wasn't even announced in the 2 monthly chess magazine. Would be amazed if there is a report in it about it anyway. They all know that fritz is going to play kramnik though. At homepage mentionned: DIEP Ferret Fritz Gandalf GromitChess IsiChess X parsos Pharaon Rebel Shredder SpiderGirl Tao Yin Tiger XiniX
