Oh, I thought you were saying they stopped making units with a light on every
square in 1980.

By the way, the CSC may have boasted 1750 USCF, but I recall vividly that ICD,
who sold it to me, had tested it at the low 1600s and were not claiming 1750
when I bought it (I would have been VERY disappointed with it if they had).
Boy, did it play a DULL game of chess! I never lost a single game to it, and
was happy the day I sold it. The Novag Super Constellation came along and
totally took all my attention, in addition to winning a lot of games from me and
playing a much more interesting style of chess. I also owned a couple other
Fidelity models about that same timeframe (something with "9" in its name, and
something like "Excellence", I recall).

But even back then ('82-3), I was fascinated with the things and ran all kinds
of tests on them as well as playing them against each other. Thus this forum is
tremendous fun (and time-wasting) for an oldie like me! Thanks, ICD!
