Hello everyone me and a friend have been playing some games over the phone with Chess Tiger 12.0E on my machine Against Chess Tiger 14.0 on his machine. I am currently running a 1ghz athlon and he is using a pentiumIII 833..... i believe. There has been some ups and downs but its seems to me that Tiger 12.0E seems to be getting the edge over 14.0. This of course is not a claim but a point i am trying to make. There was some talk on this forum many months ago about Tiger 12.0E playing H6 or H3 when castled and was Thought by many as waste of time. Tiger 12.0E seems to play this move even in slow, non tactical positions. I think that due to Tiger,s exceptional tactical ability, this is a move to stop the opponents from starting a potential attack. I have read Christophe explain how Gambit Tiger assigns great bonus to pieces working in harmony against the opponent. I am wondering if this is the other side of that same idea. Finally i would like to state that i think removing this from Tiger may have been a mistake. This of course could be confirmed by Christophe. My finding in many, many computer versus computer games suggest it make Tiger stronger. I also have the lucky to be able to may a Master many times a week and Tiger 12.0E scores mucg better than 14.0. This is not a troll to say Chess tiger12.0 is stronger, its just a keen observation i have made, and many Very stronger players agree with me. :) Regards Robert
