Thanks Mike.  I grabbed the test suite, and did a quick run of it using my
program LambChop.  At 30sec/move on a 1ghz machine my program gets 81/100
correct, so my first thought is that the test is a bit on the easy side.  Even
at 5sec/move, 71/100 are solved.

Note, my program doesn't use tablebases.  I think you mentioned that the test
was supposed to be run without tablebases, I don't like that restriction - I
can't see the point.

Looking through the suite, there seem to be alot of low material positions.  And
lots of little tactical tricks while not many positional motifs.  So I don't
think there is enough variation there in general.

Still, I'm sure some of those positions could be used if we were to build
another test suite.
