Subject: Question About "Lobotomizing" Crafty

"Fishbait" on the Internet Chess Club has created a "custom-lobotomized" version
of Crafty that plays an interesting, believable game of chess at the Class B
level, operating at standard time controls (20 min/game + 20 sec increment).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to create a similar version of Crafty
that would operate at the Class A or Expert level?  And for those of us who
aren't too good with computers, is there a way to do that with the ChessBase
versions of Crafty?
