I hope you are not saying that the Athlon SMP solution is slower than a PIII one? Athlon MP + the TYAN board is a much more efficient SMP solution than the PIII. But if you use a Mustang core instead of a Palomino MP you mighth be close to the PIII speeds on some applications.
