I actually meant RC2 when I posted, not RC3 (which doesn't exist yet).

As for why I chose Win2000, it comes down to this: it's been out for quite a
long time, and there are versions of my large collection of software that are
supported running under 2000 but not XP.  And for my myriad of hardware, drivers
are a lot more likely to be available for Win2000 than for WinXP.
