What do you mean "entering" a crisis? :o) Some will say, at least since Windows
9.x we already have a permanent crisis.

Just one figure, to illustrate what I call crisis here: The computer whith which
I'm writing this, has *1.183* DLL-Files on it's HD. And I don't have many
applications installed, only the usual collection of chess programs so to speak,
and some little tools. Not even MS Office or something of that size.

Or when I look in BOOTLOG.TXT in c:\ to see what is happening during a boot
only. This file has *1.162* lines! Obviosly Windows ME does >500 different
things during the start.

OTOH, DOS/Windows has most often worked very well for me through the years (with
one or two OS catastrophes in between).
