Go up one level in this thread
What we need here is a bit more structured trolling as this is far to incidental. Also grouping these trolls around weekends only is mediocre, to say it in a *friendly* way. Maybe we could make a pool of names/identities and e-mail addresses, as well as troll subjects. We should agree to start a discussion in a semi-intellectual tone and develop to the level of the kids whose pubic hair begin to itch. Then people should start to get irritated and finally moderating tells someone he's banned. After that the person in question should be emailed a new name and e-mail address he can use for restarting his trolling. So a bit like: "John Wood, your email-account dingdong@nospam.com has been blocked, you are not able to troll us around anymore. Your new troll identity will be "Carl Clapham" and your designated email address will be ccchater@spammenot.com. Please be adviced to see the list of troll subjects on http://www.ccc.com/trollsubjects.com" You may only use troll subjects from Cat. A and B. if you successfully trolled on subjects from Cat. C. Currently you are in Cat C.". It needs a troll coordinator, I know, as you have to be careful not to hand out an e-mail address twice. Can you believe it? You accidently gave out "Carl Clapham" twice and both started trolling on the same subject. Man, if I were a troll, I would be p*ssed off, as this is no way to behave to the serious troller. So in case of such an accident: "Dear "Carl Clapham", your current e-mail address and identity has been transfered to "John Wood", who is currently banned from the site. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we are happy to inform you that your new identity will be "Paul Palura" and your e-mail address will be fokccc@makemyday.com. Please remember to go to the troll message board to discuss as to what troll subject you will choose. Currently you are classified in Cat. C troll subjects only. Regards...." With today's possibilities of PC software and automated e-mail answering the process could be regulated through a few macro's. As we have programmers by the dozen here (I am none, so according to the forum charter I am just second rate here, but what the heck, each his speciality) that couldn't be the biggest task around. J.
