Go up one level in this thread
Hi: Or the first calculation was wrong or the current one is wrong. Maybe both. Or it could happens that current game practice needs lot more knowledge as much as theory developpes by the day. Anyway, what the researchers found is almost banal not only for chess but for any activity. What we call experience is precisely that storing of relevant data so we are not compelled to calculate each action. A high level performer of anything do his job almost in an state of unconsciousness. He must not think. The guy who thinks is the beginner. There is a very old chinese treatise about sword fighting that say the same. The great sowrdman, say, does not think. If he think, you would be cutted in pieces. fernando
