I started off with Fortran IV, and got indoctrinated by my university tutor that
it was such a good language because of the very powerfull DO subroutine.

Of course I did, but not for long. Then it was that weird kind of soft Basic on
the ZX Spectrum where you had to wait minutes before the tape did it's job.

It seemed my future was secured.

But then, somewhere halfway the eighties I bought me a PC and started with
MS-Dos. That was the beginning of the end.
Early in the Nineties I gave myself the final blow: Windows.

But that's another discussion.
