Well, there is already a book included. But probably this is not what you mean.
To explain this would be long. But suffice it to say that you can either change
move probabilities manually, or in an automated fashion.

My best suggestion is to copy the Book1 options, and then play around with some
of the following settings:
1. The trees that are assigned to the various columns
2. The variability of the book - this is an easy one, change from the drop-down
menu called "Lines from Book" in the opening book settings dialog.

You can build your own trees for use in an opening book by using the "build
direct tree" command. Multiple direct trees are usually involved when building a
book.

I don't know why you are seeing this. The deafult behavior of the book should
not be to play c4.

To individually change which moves are played, open up a tree view of the
opening book (tree button). Go to the "%" column for the move you want to
change. Right-click, and modify this value.
