Thank you for responding, Dr. Hyatt. Yes, I do implement the aging process in my hash table, so at least I am not making an error there. I think the source of the problem MIGHT be that I do not "reduce" the history values enough during my search, so when I turn on ponder, there is more searching, so there is more history values that are too high in my search. I am going to do some more testing on this ponder issue. Artem
