My comments were meant to express genuine admiration for the dedication of those amateurs who contine to turn up to such events. In some obvious cases (Bob and Bruce) continuing dedication over decades and at not insignificant personal cost. It would be a shame if this particular competetion transformed from a once purely amateur event (?) into a totally professional contest between ChessBase and whoever else is left ............. not that I have anything against the commercial programmers.
