Hi, i had read a lot messages about K-F match and had see some wrong statement. i want from my humble point of viw give some clarify. 1) Krammnik HAVE access to fritz 7 in a 8 1GH procesors machine. Do you know how?? Of course, you can only put fritz 7 in 1 procesors machine and simpli give more time to fritz 7 until its hit the sames nps it hit in 8-BOX, you can ask how much time? there are siples express that can level 2 computers with diferent procesors power. its not? 2) Chessbase have a win-win situacion, Chessbase will win if fritz win 1 game, CB will win if fritz draw 1 game, CB will win if fritz loose all the games. 3) Deep Fritz 7 is a very strong program, i am sure it can give a good fight to krammnik, inclusive have chances to draw or win the match BUT a level match where krammnik dont know its oponnent. I am a 2050-2150 player in ICC and i can beat fritz in a Atlon ThunderBird 1.333 GH with 128MBRAM, but only after a studiying its openging and playing a lot of practices games, but you get the picture, i can prepare against Fritz (2600+) and get a result of 2400+ player when i only have 2150. i can not imagine what krammnik will do to the poor dissected Fritz (Note that the advantage of having the version of fritz 2 month before hands is siple TOO BIG, VASTLY BIG. 4) The guys at ChessBase know all this, but they want the match at all cost becasue they have a great win inclusive if Fritz loose because, Fritz loose, yes but loose against the WORLD CHAMPION, the best chess player of the planet!!!, good for fritz no? 5) The guys a Chessbase says that fritz have chances and they are intelligent persons. Of course they are intellinget, but put in his shoes for a moment: you know the fritz dont have chances then you will go out and say fritz will not win and boycott a match of US$3,000,000 dolares??, of course not, they are intelligent 5) Real Chances of Fritz win: Fritz win the match: 1%, fritz will get 1 or 2 draws with white pieces, maybe win 1 game because a mistake of confident krammnik in state where he have a comfortable advangate in the match. Other possibility is a malaise of conscienceis from krammnik because he dont want people see how easy he pick up a litle less than US$3,000,000 dolares, then maybe he give some points to his computer opponent. Note i am always the side of computer chess programs, but this time i most succumb to the reality that ChessBase TRANSFORM a beutiful match, a real match between K-F IN PUBLICITY JOKE (When chessbase agree to give the same version of fritz to K.) There are others point of this match i like talk about, but this are the most important, MRB.
