In Steve-topia maybe :) But seriously, they sacrificed average IPC to get higher clockspeed. I seem to remember that a 500MHz G4 was about as fast as a 733MHz G4 some time ago. Doesn't bode well for the 800MHz part. And doesn't the dual system have a large L3 cashe for each processor. Thats good for running separate threads accessing separate memory areas. MvH Dan Andersson
