I'm not sure I can clearly explain you why handheld computers are great and why
they are going to overcome the PC market in a few years.

It's like trying to explain why a phone (wireless or not) is an important thing
to have.

Try to convince somebody who has never heard about phones that he must have one.
Good luck.

When the telephone has been invented, I guess everybody wondered what was the
use of such a thing.

But once you have used one, you cannot do without it anymore.

Because it's the kind of thing which changes your life. Not in a dramatic way,
but you start to do some things differently (more easily) day after day because
you have this new stuff.

And after a while you realize that you could not do without it. Or that in order
to do without it you would have to go back to your previous way of life, and you
do not want to do that.

There is no way I can convince you that you cannot do without a handheld,
because you are already living without a handheld.

There are things you can do more easily with a handheld, but you would not
consider they are worth it.

If you are the kind of person who could not do without a PC anymore, then you
are probably the kind of person who will love to have a handheld, and who will
not be able to do without it.

But there is only one way to convince yourself: you need to try by yourself.
Live with one for a while, and you'll see.

Probably you are not going to be convinced by what I say. So you are not going
to buy one immediately. You'll buy one when so many people around have one that
you think: "I do not know why they love this stuff, but there MUST be a reason.
I want to know, so I'm going to buy one".

You should ask Thorsten about his feelings. He did not understand what a
handheld would do for him. I tried to convince him but I'm not sure I succeeded.
He has just bought a Palm m100 (probably because he trusts me, not because I
convinced him), and now he just loves it.
