The match GambitTiger 2 aggressive vs. ChessAcademy 6 fits to my expectations which arose after the first two rounds the ChessAcademy played. The 9.5-0.5 in favour of Tiger therefore does not surprise me at all and makes me suppose that the Academy engine is clearaly behind the amateur engines. Wit Braslwaski will have to decide if further development will be done. I'd say at least 1/2 - 1 year of intensive programming will be necessary to reach the amateur level. Maybe it is more senseful to concentrate on suporting the Winboard-engines in ChessAcademy 6, but this is a choice Wit has to make. The match GambitTiger 2 aggressiv vs. Fritz 6 (May 2001) has just begun and will be finished within the next 2-3 days hopefully. After that the last match of GambitTiger 2 aggressive will be vs. Junior 6. Infos, games etc. at http://www.harald-faber.de (new start page and new navigation).
