Hiarcs 8 is moving along nicely.  Below is a list of improvements that Mark
Uniacke has noted:

IMPROVEMENTS FOR VERSION 8

*  Increased tactical ability and stronger mate attacks
*  Searching is much deeper (up to 62 plies deep), this includes searching about
2 ply iterations deeper than HIARCS 7.32 at tournament time controls, which has
also improved the positional play.
*  Full position learning enabled

As far as a concrete release date, I can only say that it will be somewhere
between the end of summer or fall.

I will provide more detailed information when it is available (and authorized.)
