Hi Dann,

it takes my current Quark 13 minutes on my machine (K7 1333) to see that Ng3 is
not that good... after 17 minutes it switches to another move (Bxd4) ... Problem
is, that Quark sees it to late, I have still here some extensions missing which
prevent Quark from seeing such tactical king attacks earlier... (it see's the
problem at ply 12... looking at the other engines it should see it at least one
ply earlier... then it will take only 5-6 minutes to see the trouble... much
work to do... :)

P.S.: But a typical computerchess problem: First it sees only the material win -
the evaluation can't produce early enough so many penalty's - I think most
engines which solve that so early have very clever extensions... What I really
wonder is why Yace does not see it... I always thought that it is so much more
clever then Quark in king attacks... :)
