I guess that he likes to win and he has bigger chances in other games. The king is the best chess playing program in seeing mates. I guess that Johan de Koning's programs are also best in seeing the eqvivalent of checkmate in other games but I do not know if I am right. He may use a secret algorithm that nobody knows and it seems that programmers prefer to copy their algorithms from other programs with known source code and not to try to investigate what he is doing. There is data if somebody wants to try to guess his algorithm in chess because chessmaster6000 shows every 0.5 second the line that it considers if I ask it to show the thinking lines but it seems that no programmer cares about it.
