The time allocation isn't optimal IMO, but it's usable. In my SOS2000 folder I have the following files: - sos.exe (The SOS engine copied from the Shredder folder). - SOS2000.exe (UCI-WB adapter). - SOS2000.rc (Initialization file for the above adapter). - SOS2000.init (Chessbase initialization file). - SOS2000.bmp (Logo). My SOS2000.rc looks like this: ############################# # # Adapter Resource Control # ############################# # # Exe-Name exe=sos.exe # # Directory dir=C:\Program Files\ChessBase\Engines\SOS2000 # # Hashtable size in MB (*not* for UCI) Hash=64 # # Tablebase Path (*not* for UCI) # tbpath=d:\program files\shredder5\tb tbpath=e:\chess\tb # # Tablebase Cache in MB (*not* for UCI) tbcache=8 There's another potential problem. The latest adapter available at Frank's download page is a piece of junk IMHO. At least when it comes to pondering. Try the one from November 2000. Regards, Mogens
