No hash. 7 seconds to see a mate is very good chessmaster6000(ss=10) needed 24 seconds on better hardware to see a forced mate. 2:34 to see mate in 9 by brute force is not bad and if you consider the fact that chessmaster used hash tables and used better hardware it seems that the 84 seconds of chessmaster to find mate in 9 is slower than your 154 seconds to get the same result. Chessmaster6000(ss=10 pIII850) 24 seconds mate in 10 82 seconds mate in 9 Uri
