I tried with Yace and the knowledge you pointed out disabled. Yace will find the
solution with a score of about 2 pawns at depth 13 then (instead of 12 or
sometimes 11). My connected passer code vs. R tries to be extremely carefully,
and will only give a huge bonus, when it seems (almost?) certain, that there is
no way for the defending K to help. This means usually, that it must be rather
far away.
