I currently use windows 2000... upgrade editon. You can still do a full/complete install of windows 2000 with the upgrade edition. The only difference is you will need to put the windows 98 disc in the drive (that is if you did a hard drive reformat, otherwise it will read it on the drive). I can't see any reason to spend double the money. Matt
