Subject: Mystery of Crafty exiting prematurely solved

Somehow it was my opening book. After swapping memory, same problem. After
removing position.bin same problem. After removing book.bin the problem stopped,
specifically the access violations.

So, I'm going to try to recreate my book by using a pgn of all it's games, and
combing through book.lrn and position.lrn, removing any lines which look odd. I
think some bad data got into the book.bin when I edited some games through
winboard, which is automatically saved to 'all.pgn'. I don't think crafty can
make sense of such an edited pgn file, where the game doesn't start from the
standard position, but starts from some other point in the game.

Also I was getting strange lines in position.lrn, which may have effected
position.bin

If the book.bin is assumed to be correct, that is it's assumed that it contains
correct chess moves starting from the beginning position in chess, then it's
clearly bad to dump everything into one pgn file, and edited games should be
only done on a different copy of winboard in a different directory, saved to a
different file.
