Bring whatever hardware you have, or can afford.. and let the best program win. I don't think anyone was complaining in those tournaments about what hardware was in use and with what program. Seems like the best solution to me. Also make every tournament from today on supportive of multi processor systems. I also believe that Junior did not win just because it was on a dual. I think it would have won even on a single. The chess it played was tremendous. ChessTiger and Shredder both did extremely well on singles. Let the battle begin, and let the chess sort it out. Isn't that the whole point?
