Last week it beat Asa 6 - 0 Asa alternated colors, and played many of his specialist openings - 1.Nc3 for example. Tonight it played US Championship qualifier Yuri Lapshun in 10 Minute & 15 minutes games. It won game 1 easily. Game 2 was a hard fight, and game 3 ended in a draw - The only game that Yury may have been winning at one point, but ended in perpetual check. Matches were played using the DGT board, at the the Marshall Chess Club. The advantage of using the DGT board is that the time used for moving, is much more acurately represented. I hope that these matches will somehow helps Yuri in preparation - Well at least as much as our club champion, playing in the Friday rapids does... I will post games, if the Millenium program has an auto-save feature, and can find the games, otherwise they needn't worry:). Larry Tamarkin Marshall Chess Club
