In the tournament I used a version compiled with /DFAST. This version doesn't count a lot of things and was 5.5% faster than the orginal was (and gave me also a draw against Quest). The only thing I changed in the source was a removal of a kill statement which couldn't compiled by MSVC. Bob is pointing probably to the sortingmethod of Crafty 16.x which was slightly faster for AMD. Since the nodecounter of that Crafty version was slightly different and speaking with Bob I didn't want to use it. This to prevent unwanted sideeffects. I used a special makefile.nt to build the Crafty version with which concats all source together and builds Crafty a version of it. I can email to the interested ones the makefile.nt and or the wcrafty-18.10.amd-optimized.exe Michel Langeveld
