Subject: DIEP - Anmon 3.5-0.5

Author: Vincent Diepeveen

Date: 01:02:05 08/28/01

Hello,

I was challenged by Frank Quisinsky to play with diep against
Anmon. I'm using my own book (so diep is quick out of book
which btw against deepfritz/noomen book is completely suicidal
and also loses chanceless if anmon would get the idea to play
1.e4,c5 2.nc3), as i already know that using Carlos book
in such matches is complete execution of the (amateur) opponent.

hardware used: Dual 1.2Ghz palomino 512mb ram.

program to autoplay: winboard 4.0.7

Setting used: both at 1 processor. anmon 128mb hash, diep 150mb hash.
level: 40 in 2 hours.

neither of the programs has EGTBs, because the harddisk of
my dual was broken (i brought it back). inside is a SCSI2 2GB (80mb/s)
harddisk now with win2000osr1 at it.

diep WMCC version + my own book (pesce lines i don't want to reveal
too much to the audience)

anmon latest version i could download from frank's quisinsky's site
and a 2+ MB book i also got for it from that site.

I was amazed anmon lost that first game after it reached
a pretty good endgame.

Here the first 3 games, game 4 diep is up +4.xx now and it's
a pretty chanceless endgame and so far Anmons losses as you can
see are for half of them in far endgame.

Note i'm pretty amazed that within a day already so many
games have been played.

4th game is as i speak +5.0 for diep now but anmon didn't resign yet.
Bunch of pawns less in endgame, no counterchances for anmon.
