Your SMP ( = Stupid Micro Program :^) ) might well be better than DB. One can't
equate speed with quality, as Bob does. You could take, say, MacHack (was that
the name?), or an even older program, and implement it in hardware at 10G n/s.
It would beat Junior and the rest, but I would hardly say it is a better program
than Junior.

And even if DB's evaluation was the best the world has ever seen (in absolute
terms, abstracting from speed), it might at the same time be the worst,
relatively to the huge amount of computation it did. This inefficiency would
explain Bob's 1Mx factor!

On the other hand, it might have improved if they had had 10 years to tune all
those weights... :^)
