OK - I _thought_ I said that it is an exception of the rule where the rule is that it is usually no good idea to enter the centre of the board and the third row with your king . "Finding" Ke8 isn't the issue here . Ke8 is to be _avoided_ . I agree that chessknowledge probably won't help here unless it is very sophisticated. Bottom line : this is a position about king safety where the search has to find that we have an exception. My idea was that it might be interesting as you probably still want to play Kd6 here - and not overtune your engine. OK - now I remain silent :) pete
