P11 300MHz 128mb ram. Engine vs engine Fritz 5.32 - 5 min biltz games 8mb ram. Just downloaded C18.1 C18.1 vs C17.07. 7 games-Score:C17.07 5 wins,2 draws. C18.1 vs F5.32. 3 games-Score:C18.1 1win, 2draws. I know,I know;no conclusion possible. Not a big enough game sample,game time control etc,etc. However,I find it interesting that on the above machine at the same time control and ram size,whatever the number of games C17.07 has rarely beaten F5.32. And yet C18.1 has already beaten F5.32 and not C17.07 Just for interest sake I would welcome comments as to the strengths/performance of C17.07,C18.1 and also C16.3 which came with F5.32 purchased in March 99.
