Derrick,
Chess is a nice form of the unlimited propensity for perfection on a limited 8x8
board. Chess has helped me during the hardest times of my life, as it is the
perfect form of meditation where you can see every mistake you make. It is very
honest way of self-control. I have found it very useful for my life as it helps
me to get myself okay in times when everything else may seem to be unclear.
In this way the chess IS serving the needs of humanity. It helps me to be a
better person, to be very responsible of myself and, therefore, able of helping
others when it is most required.
