The solution to most problems facing humanity is very trivial to find in most
cases. The real problem is that they are not going to be implemented by people
of no importance whatsoever. And despite the intelligence present here, 99.99%
of the CCC members have no real impact on the global situation no matter what
they chose to do or say.

If you want to make a real contribution, sabotage some equipment destined to
destroy the natural resources of Alaska searching for oil, help build schools,
hospitals and infrastructure in Africa, invite children from Chernobyl to spend
a few months in your house, aid torture victims from Turkey and Israel or chain
yourself to an oilrig or maybe a bulldozer in the Brazilian rainforest. The list
goes on and on. There are plenty of opportunities for an active holiday. The
easy way would be to be a passive member of a NGO like Greenpeace. That should
ensure time for your computer chess activities while taking care of the most
pressing problems with your global conscience.

Mogens
