The US civil war and it's causes was very, very, complex.  Any explaination that
EITHER:

1) Portrays the North as being composed of noble crusaders fighting for morality
against an evil South.

OR

2) Portrays the South as hapless victims of a tyranical North.

needs to be taken with a large does of skeptisism.  Of course this is not much
different from most wars.  As this is WAY off topic, this is my last post on
this subject.
