Ok, forget about the hardware improments of the last 9 years, how much better is Deep Fritz or Tiger 14 then Genius 2, 3 ?? I have Heard Bob hyatt say that little improvement has been made. From a Chess Amatuer Point of view, seems to me much progress has been made, although genius was strong, it tended to make rediculous moves and was extremely materialistic, it couldn't sacrifice material for positional reasons like modern programs, or is my thinking corrupted by hyperbole? It does seem that today's programs do play much stronger and better chess then 1994, what do you think?
