I think this position is an example of CHIPTEST speed ,the predecessor of Deep
Thought ,i found this quote on this link at the bottom of the page :

"Singular extensions were first used in the chess computer CHIPTEST
(Anantharaman et al. [1990]). In one example, CHIPTEST was able to find a forced
checkmate in 18 moves (35 plies) in 65 seconds on a nominal 8-ply search."
