I've seen a few discussions around here centering on Pocket Fritz vs. Pocket genius in terms of strength. I am interested in the real strength of Pocket Genius as a kind of benchmark. I have pocket Genius running on a 133 MHz HP Jornada, and have played it 35 blitz games so far (most of which I have kept in the database, and the score for Genius is 18 Wins, 6 Losses, and 11 Draws. I am USCF rated around 2110 and my ICC blitz is around 2155. This extrapolates to a performance rating for Genius of around 2290 ICC blitz. Richard Lang indicates that Genius should be around USCF 2300, so this is fairly in keeping with his assertion. I have not played any slow games against Genius yet, but I'm betting that it would be strong USCF Expert/weak USCF Master at slower time controls. Has anybody else played any norming games against Genius? As a program, I can highly recommend it. Very nice interface, good features, small footprint, and quite a decent opponent. Chris
