They very well might, but AMD may see a "Chip War" that will be beyond their
capibality to win!

Intel has had a bad rap for processor power since 1999, with the introduction
of the AMD Athlon Processor.

Now Intel has developed with the aid of Hewlett Packard, the Itanium Processor,
which is a Quantum Leap in IA/64 technology, which will continue to grow each
year.

The P-4 is a daring idea, but came too soon. Now it appears Intel intends to
rectify that problem, and they have the know-how to accomplish their goals.

I hope AMD can and will compete for supremacy as it will continue to put
the impetus on Intel to stay ahead and vice versa. IMO
