This whole post is a guess.  Why do you believe that singular extension would
hurt this position?  What evidence do you have that DB would have seen the
perpetual without SE?  Why do you think that SE hurts positional play?

Which programs find Qe3, and do they use SE?  If you say none of them use it,
how do you know?
