I said that it may change my opinion. may change does not mean that if tiger will be in the top by 1 elo I am going to believe clearly different things but 4 elo rating difference may influence opinions and here is the proof. Suppose A's rating is getting higher every month by 4 elo. After 100 monthes the A's rating is 400 elo better. I am sure that your opinion is going to be different after 100 monthes so it is clear that an 4 elo difference can influence opinions. I agree that the influence is small in that case but saying only that tiger is number 1 does not mean that it is 1 elo better than Fritz and it may be also 20 elo better than Fritz so I do not know how much it can influence my opinion.
