Logically if you increase Mhz with 300, which is 15%, then it won't be 15% faster that P4. It will be way less than 15% faster. More like 8% or something than 15%. In short that's always less than 20%. Now 1.4Ghz K7 is again faster than the 1.2Ghz Palomino, about 10%. You can do the math!
