NBA basketball players are frighteningly better than college players, who are absurdly better than high school players who are remarably better than those kids who don't make the team. There is an eerie feeling when playing against someone who instantly sees your entire plan. It's often worse playing against a GM informally, because he will tell you what you are thinking and what is wrong with that idea. It gives you the heebie-jeebies.
